Jeranimo caught this in the afternoon. The taxi was parked in a handicapped area, as you can see from the second photo, for quite sometime. The photo below was taken at the same spot at night.
He told me that if the authorities saw this, they would've been fined around $2000. If that happened in Brunei, hehehe... use your imagination.
Haha!! I thought we've seen it all but I guess I was wrong.
"Interesting species of PI here. All that's missing is the bull that was pulling it!" was what Reeda wrote. I say the bull kana sembalih for Aidil Adha. HEHEH!!
Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha and Happy New Year to everyone from all of us at YPI.
Taken at Batu Besurat, Gadong. Time 14:30. Date 31.12.06.
Jeranimo said that this bike was parked at the same place day after day and twice already he nearly tripped down the stairs because of the handle protruding into the steps. Walking up the stairs is not a problem because you can see it, he said, but going down is another story because its way down below.
This is not only inconsiderate but also dangerous.
3 PIs caught in this photo. They are trying to get as close to the entrance as possible. I know this place has got a lot of empty parking spaces around the area and people just won't park at the empty slots.
Maybe its because of a tiny slope there which if you start at the bottom and take 5 steps, you'll be on top. And there's even an escalator there for all the lazy bums but it's all a waste..
Taken at Supa Save Beribi. Time and date unknown. Camera phone Nokia N70
This guy is definitely an idiotic PI. Anonymous saw him driving fast into the parking spot himself. In fact, his car nearly got hit by this bugger. If parking idiotically is not enough, trying to damage other people's property or kill some one is another way of showing stupidity.
Taken at Teguh Raya (Muara?). Lunch time, 19.12.06.
I know its a hard decision, but i really do have to reject this case. Reasons beings, there are actually limited or non at at all parking spaces for motorcycles in some area. So these bikers have to 'compromise' or steal valuable parking slots for cars. Well at least the bikes are nicely parked.
.. not like the car on the right side in the second picture. Hehe.. Atu baru PI!!
Here we go guys!! Our first international PI. All the way from Australia. It took 3 emails before I actually got the photo and a couple more headaches before I figured out what the photo was about. A couple of headaches and ParkUrAss's photoshop magic to really know what it was.
ParkUrAss counted that this guy took 5 slots for his needs. I couldn't see it, maybe thats why its parked like that, that he couldn't see it either.
But anyways, thanks F S for your contribution. Sorry it took so long man. I just couldn't decide if this qualifies to be a PI.
I was surprised when I saw this, thought where would someone parked like this.. My first thought that maybe this guy was waiting for someone in the car but I couldn't see anyone when I blew it up.
Apparently this was taken during the Friday Prayer. Snap!! arrived for the prayers at 12:30 and the Kijang was there already, smack right in the middle of the lane!! (well.. not really in the middle but close enough) and what's worse was that there were still empty parking spaces available. What's even worse was that 30 minutes after the prayers, its still there!! And what's even MORE worse.. heheh.. No lah. That's it.
Parking along the roads during Friday Prayers are normal, but I think most of you would agree that this is abit excessive (just like my comments.. I haven't written anything this long for a long time..)
Just so you all know.. when Snap!!'s around, nobody is safe. Take a look at the next picture.
Taken at Masjid Jame' Asr Hassanal Bolkiah. Time 12:30 and 30 minutes after prayers. Date 15.02..? Did I get that right? February?
Again we find photos of cars parked by a fire hydrant. Already there are markings around areas for the fire brigade to access them. But still we find those who could car less about safety. Expensive cars doesn't mean you have a license to do anything you want.
Taken at the Brunei International Airport. Time 12:55. Date 19.12.06.
This one is taken near a restaurant in Gadong. Either the owner's lunch break is short or he/she's really REALLY hungry!! If not that then it's too hot, too far, too lazy, too inconsiderate, busy, too arrogant... you get the picture.
Taken at the Food Zone. Time 13:15. Date 20.12.06.
] We weren't too sure about this one.. and Gnul's got me confused as well. He wrote..
"Bro.. is this dude parked on the parking lot? Do u tink so? Naaaaaaaaaaaahh!!!..."
What got me confused was that there is a line and an arrow. And there's that trolley again. Was he talking about the trolley?
Well there are a lot more PIs in the background. I guess from this view, you can see most of them.
Taken at the Brunei International Airport. Time 11:24. Date 16.12.06.
*edited* I have been sent by YPI Management to investigate this case, the findings are, only the left side of the road is the parking spaces, thus confirming the Merc is a PI, it parked at the route/lane to the exit gate.
Just look at this, how stubborn can people be. Cones are placed so that no cars can park at that piece of road. But, these particular Bruneians are clever, they parked just next to the cones, ha!ha! Not so very fool proof. Then, whats that boat doin' there? By the way these idjits parked their cars and boat at the ronabot (scottish accent for roundabout),
Taken at Jerudong Fish Market. 17.12.2006 @ 1800hrs.
Ok, I know I said that it's just a one off thing, but VR4RS deserve to get this one the way he wants it. Why you might ask? Read on...
"This particular PI was the MOST EXTREME of the LOT! "She" just simply parked her car blocking two cars and happened to be, one of them is mine. We both waited for about 10minutes then even after honking our horns, no sight of her. Only after another 05minutes that she came and removed her car WITHOUT even apologizing for the 15minutes of misery we endured!
p/s I do hope you could have the reg number not blurred.........pleasssssseeeeeeeeee!"
There you go mate. I hope you find this easing your suffering a bit.
Taken at the Communist Shopping Lot. Time 22:34. Date 14.12.06.
I didn't know that it was a big place out there and many more countries in the world other then Brunei.. Hehehe.. DUh..!!
The country counter I placed a while ago got me thinking (after ParkUrAss kicked started it), PIs are not limited to just Brunei! And since viewers from other countries get to see our PIs, I think it would be great if we get to see theirs.
So send them in guys and gals, let's see if your PIs can top ours.
Oh! And another thing.. Some of you guys might be wondering what ever happened to the Idiot of the Month. Not many votes came in so we decided to scrap the idea. Thanks for the time to the few people who voted. We will see what happens in the near future..
*just added* For overseas contributers, please give a brief description of your PI, how it's parked, how it's suppose to park and of course what country. Thanks guys.
